Hats

Day 2 Sketch
Went to a college fair today to get info about Digipen, learned that my choosing to begin sketching more often is a good idea if I want any chance at Digipen or the artsy career in general; turns out you have to do 1500 sketches every week or two(something of that nature) there. Was also told that I need to practice drawing real things, so my first go at that are the above Hats.

These hats(there are three, went with just the top two) were sitting on top of a little rectangler box, decided to sketch them. I prefer my sketch of the top hat, the bottom one would look better with shading; to my annoyance I found I couldn't get the right look when adding color to the bottom hat either.

To add some small entertainment value I also sketched up an attempt at an OC, a raging little king who hates the little mistakes in my work(am laughing a little inside at the idea of it). Strangly enough the second sketch of him looks alot more like a queen Roger(American Dad character if you didn't know) than a raging king.

As a last throw in also made a hand, going for a Sonic-esque type glove with the finger pointing out at someone like they are yelling and/or giving a speech("Curse you Eggman!"). Looking at it now after a few minutes I do dislike the pinkie, but the overall thing(the hand) looks nice.
